Kira, what inspired you to start creating the amazing fashion-forward trends we can find in your shop?

 That’s a really hard question. The first thing I ever made was a little black dress and I consider that a classic of fashion. That went rather horrible as I would think and I pretty much stopped creating for an entire year. From there I randomly came back and started again started off with retexturing clothing meshes and then eventually let to me creating my own things. As for the fashion forward looks well, there is so much in the shop and what I have come to find is that a lot of it is based off the same type of style. I wanted to create a style that was unique and clearly SK.

 When you’re looking for models for your items, what exactly do you look for in a model?

 I’m looking for a model that is able to model a wide range of styles. I make everything from cute girl next door, to elegant formal to urban apparel. It is important they are able to model everything flawlessly. I also like a model with a bit of curve and sex appeal but many versatility is key.

As a creator, it is easy to run out of juice – how do you keep your creativity flowing?

 If you’re a creator that is constantly creating things I would believe so. I’m the type of creator that puts out a collection of items every other month and that allows me to really think about the styles and what I want to put out next. But mostly I get my inspiration from the shop and seeing what the everyday community of IMVU wear. After all that is who you are trying to catch attention of. So I look at style trends to see what’s hot and what’s not and try to create something that would fit into my creating style. I also take a lot of inspiration from my fans *waves to them* They send me ideas and suggestions all the time and I love that.

What is the most important thing a creator needs to be successful?

That’s another hard question but I would say the ability to advertise their items. They have to be a bit savvy in the way they go about it because they are competition with thousands of other creators in the program. So if they come up with a sold marketing plan, and branding there is no reason anyone wouldn’t have some success in creating.
