Posting Photo Links

Hello Models! I have noticed there is some of you that are still using Imgur links for posting photos. I am posting this notice as a warning and as information that you may not know. As per Imgur TOS you are no longer allowed to use there service as an image hosting site nor use there links outside of there website. If caught doing so they have full right to ban your account from Imgur as well as IMVU along with reporting you to the authorites. Please do not take this lightly. Here is a screenshot of there TOS.

Here is the link to view the full TOS: Imgur TOS As an alternative there are a few hosting sites you can use to post and host your IMVU images from. Most Used; Photobucket. This allows you to both host your images as well as post img links on IMVU. There is a small bit of downside due that sometimes Photobucket has server issues including a bit one recently that deleted a lot of peoples photos and it also has a tendency to resize photos as well. Alternative: Tiny Pic. This is another hosting and img site used across IMVU. I personally seem to always have issues with using and getting links from this site. This includes over time images being deleted, images coming out as a jpeg (white background which tends to happen when you use Chrome), If using Tiny Pic it is recommend that you also use Internet Explore when you are downloading or retrieving images. My Top Pick: Imgup.net. This is a newly found site to host and post IMG links. The website is in a different language but most web browsers will convert it back to English for you (if not you can ask me and I will walk you through it) This site is much like IMGUR where you don't have to create an account for fast links, doesn't resize or seem to have any crashes so far. Downside is you are only allowed to upload up to 8MB (megabytes) images. This is rather small size but if you are using this just for IMVU then you will have no issues. Alternative: Postimage: This is my personal least favorite but it can sometimes be useful in a pinch. You simply upload your images, select the size and it will give you a variety of links to use. What I have found while using this site is that size doesn't really matter. You can select do not resize but most of the time it will make the image super mall anyways even when you are not selecting the thumbnail link. I hope this helps everyone!
